It's finally happened! I'm living in my little 17' Escape and loving it! I finished another round of chemo and have a month off before finishing my last round the month of June. I've decided to stay at a local RV park to work out the kinks before heading down the road. Here's my first week's adventures in "Sarandipity".

Glad to hear you're settling in comfortably with the Escape. It's a whole new chapter in your life, once you've successfully dealt with the chemo.. Think of it as your new magic carpet!

How exciting for you! I remember how I felt 2 years ago when I sold my sticks-and-bricks home & moved into my 17' Bigfoot. I don't think I stopped grinning from ear to ear for months! What a sense of freedom.

I've been staying full-time for now at a gorgeous RV park/campground only 9 miles from my former home. And, I've heard all the jokes about living in such a small space. It takes a certain sort of person, for sure; it's not for everyone. For me & my female kitty, it's perfection.

Hopefully, I can hit the open road this year, on a wide-eyed search for all those adventures that are around all those corners.

Love your blog and writing style.

Was pleased to read you go the hang of backing up! The hand on the bottom of the wheel is also the one and only way I have ever been able to do it.

Been there and done that at getting the hitch on and off the ball when trailer and tow are at different angles as well. Juggling the vehicle a bit back and forth a bit a time works as does keeping the ball well lubricated.

I loved reading a little about your story. When I was looking at fiberglass RV's the Bigfoot was a favorite of mine. I hope you're able to search for those adventures soon.

And I agree... I'm lucky to have found this group.

I'm glad you're enjoying the blog! I have to laugh now when I think back to the first backing up lesson. EEEK!

You really do have a Gypsy soul. And you're so multi-talented! Glad your muse came back.
Your dad sounds like a saint. After teaching my kids to drive I got a real chuckle about him trying to be patient and positive.
Backing up... Well, it gets better with practice. I still have to get in and out of my car a lot. I learned the hard way not to "assume" you know what's happening on the blind side
