Junior vs senior member

I suppose my question is aimed at the site administrator. I am wondering about the member designations Junior & Senior. When does a member change status ? Is it related to the number of posts on the web site?
This is only my curiosity that's all. I await your reply, perhaps others would like to know as well ! Thanks, Duane

Junior vs senior member

A mere 100 posts earns you "senior" status, a dubious honor. I have a few more than that and I still feel very "junior"- lots to learn!

Thanks Jon for your reply regarding Junior,Member,Senior status !
Anything beyond Senior must be "fondly remembered" by all !
If you are in doubt ask ! We used to place this message on all engineering drawings when I used to work for a Power Utility.

Senior members are smarter. In 32 more Posts you'll find out.

When I was a greenhorn in terms of towing and camping in a trailer, only a few years ago, I asked here about the rank of the members. I was told there is nothing rank about the people here - they take their showers regularly. And they have a good sense of humor, too.

The Airstream forum has something similar, but they assign up to five rivets to members. You need a certain number to be a "rivet master".

I thought it was about the half-price trailer advice on senior Tuesday.

I've been here 3 years and I had no idea. Thanks for clarifying this Jon.

Looks like I'll be changing status soon and I don't like change

Change is good. I can talk for hours about subjects I don't know anything about till somebody equally gifted comes along and changes my mind .😳

Padding post counts with non-relevant posts is actually a violation of community rules. I'm grateful this is on the whole a pretty easy-going forum, because I've posted a few things that in hindsight were better left unsaid!

Not to worry... you'll get that 50% discount soon enough.

Bob,

Ah, good, you've clearly already read some of our threads on tire pressure, weight distribution hitches, and propane!

Also, haven't I seen you on another forum? I may forget a name but I never forget an avatar.

~

I suspect that when they were programming the site, someone must have decided that "senior" sounded kinder and more estimable than "pluperfect prattling poster".

There is an internet forum term for that, Post Whore.
