Trailer: '77 Triple E Surfside
Posts: 80
Finally,
I have been doing some researching,... And dreaming and Finally have purchased a 1977 Triple E SurfSide camper. Wow, I am happy. Structurally it's all there. I've scrubbed like mad to clean the outside and will be doing some more. Is there a really great product to use that can cut through years of moss, mildew, and dirt grime etc. ?

Then it will be new tires. Over the winter in my friends heated shop I want to rip the carpet out. I don't know if that's original or not, but I think new Linoleum will be the easiest to do.

Also, at present the fridge is not working although it could be a gas issue , meaning I think I'll take it out and roll it over or upside down to see if I can get it going again. I read somewhere that someone took there's out and replaced it with a regular wal-mart type Bar fridge, but then lost their furnace space. I wouldn't mind keeping the furnace for cool nights and possible re-sale down the road - Any Suggestions ?

There will be more questions from me, but the last is my roof vent seems to leak, so a replacement is going to have to come. One that cools a bit - the Maxx Air vent ? Anyone have this on the FG camper ? Is it worth it.

Thanks,
Eric

PS - Our Ensolite is in Excellent shape, curious as to why it seems some people remove theirs ? For looks, for a bit more overall space ???

Congratulations on your trailer!

As for the fridge. Do some trouble shooting before you take it out. Use the search function and look up old posts, there is quite a bit of info about trying to revive them.

Not everyone's ensolite is in such great shape. Sometimes it's peeling and mouldy .
