Well, I just picked up my new/ old scamp. I saw this add http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/in...howtopic=35367 on this site and called up the guy and arranged to see it. It had all the parts I wanted, trailer brakes, good fiberglass, sound frame, I can stand up with out much stoop and is 1 1/2" shorter than my garage door so I can store it inside. Don't know what appliances work, but I can sort all that out. When I originally called, I asked if he had the title and he said that he did and it was clean. What I didn't understand is that he meant it literally, as it had been through the wash, was tapped back up and missing chunks. It looks like all the pertinent information is still there, so I'll see what happens tomorrow at the DMV.

Congratulations, Danny - you found your Egg close to home, too! AND ... being an Oregonian, you are close to lots of rally activities so you can meet & greet many of the VERY helpful and knowledgeble FGRV folks who live in the PNW. We wish you fun as you rehab your Egg, safe journeys always, and many, many happy memories. And remember, we all love to photos! Take care, L 'n D

I think you need a NEW axle. Trailer sits very low.

Thanks for all the replies. I have enjoyed the photo's that people have shown on their progress and will try to do the same. As with the axle, it will be one of the many things that will be looked at.

Just keep in mind that if you replace the axle, it might not fit in the garage anymore!
