I find the assumption that the majority of retired people have an excess of disposable income and that people of working age with children are all suffering as ludicrous . I have children in there forties who live a far better life style than I ever lived. We are admonished to save for our retirement years so we are not a burden on our children or society and then some want to punish us for saving .

Welcome to the club!
The Geezer Pass would not be offered by the NPS if it did not have some benefit for the park system. Another way to look at it, it brings some older folks to the parks who would otherwise sit on their duff, and I bet there are also many grandparents who take their youngest ones along, who in turn, get used to visiting the parks and come on their own later on. And, as someone stated earlier, we taxpayers have earned it.
So, Donna, get it soon and enjoy the benefit!
(A corollary question: doesn't every geezer on this forum have that pass?)

Carl's Jr. also has a senior discount for everything. You just have to ask for it.

It's not a crime to be a senior and get a bit of a break here and there. I took a 60% reduction in salary when I retired. Every little bit helps make life that much easier.

Although I am a card carrying "Senior Pass" camper for a number of jurisdictions.
That said, I AM NOT a "G" nor will I ever become one.

To add to Pauls comments in post #42, we have had a number of family activities when I could secure a site and have had children and grandchildren join us for weekend camping activities. We move in and set up on Thursday and they join in on Friday, sometimes arriving well into the night, but everything is set up when they arrive.

For those that don't know, in most venues this is allowed as long as the a Senior pass holder is occupying the site(s) reserved.

free coffee and such.....

McDonalds offers a senior coffee for a reduced price but in my area the local Burger Kings provide small coffees and sodas to seniors at no charge.

Taco Bell here also provides free soft drinks for seniors. In both places you just have to ask.

Geezers are usually quieter and leave less mess, also.

This thread has long ago answered the OP's query on Geezer Passes, and I am afraid is now turning a bit towards opinions on other issues which have little to do with camping in our fiberglass trailers. I too am guilty of helping it head this way (I may be a moderator, but I am human too ). So, thus ends this conversation.

I hope you all understand.
