This time of year it is good to have a computer with you while traveling so you can check the weather radar and road conditions. I found a map today on the NOAA weather site that could be very useful for RVers on a cross country migration. Here is the link:

It is the wind speed map found part way down the page. It takes a couple of clicks but you can go to a particular state or area and get a forecast for wind speed and direction. You could use the information to avoid driving into extremely windy conditions which can be kind of a problem if you are pulling a trailer.
