Land between the Lakes in Kentucky

Late Spring and this summer has been hectic .....sold a farm, farm equipment, livestock, etc. and moved to the outskirts of town with far fewer acres.

Now have some time to git outta here for a week....am thinking of heading over to Land Between the Lakes for some much needed rest, staying in COE campground. Any suggestions from any of you out in egg-land?

Thx. in advance.

We've been going there the last few years. Going again first weekend in Oct to the LBL rally that can be seen on the rally map.

Hi Imogene,

We really enjoyed all there was to see at LBL. Take enough time to visit the living history farm. Several campgrounds there to choose from.

After we left LBL we were headed east and stopped at Huntsville, AL. What a strange experience seeing living history from 100 years ago and then visit the space center in Huntsville the next day. A good trip all around.

They are having another gathering at LBL this Oct. And of course we are having one in Minnesota in just a few days!

Enjoy being carefree, at least we aren't dodging tornados this month.

Nancy

Donna, I plan to enjoy and looking forward to being less tied down. At age 70 it was time to "retire" or a better word, transition into something else.

Radar 1, next year for the rally. Got plans for that week.....made a commitment to help with Ag day that Farm Bureau puts on for all 4th graders in the county. The kids need to be reminded of where their food and fiber comes from.

Nancy, hope to go to Dorr county next June and see all of you that push that cold weather down this way during the winter. No tornados in sight, but one never knows.
