Hi everyone...we are planning a trip down the Oregon coast over to Nevada. I need a suggestion for a place to stay with the Trill in Las Vegas...any ideas? As well, any must see places down the 101 or through Nevada is welcome!

I would consider Terribles RV Resort in Pahrump, NV. It is a short drive to Las Vegas and is a wonderful RV Park It also takes PassPort America (50% off) if you’re a member.

We just returned from a whirlwind 4-day visit to Vegas (flew there), but rented a car to check out campgrounds within a few hours of Vegas. Valley of Fire is about an hour northeast of Vegas on I-15, and the campsites there are absolutely gorgeous - all situated beautifully nestled within the spectacular red rock formations. Night sky purported to be amazing there.

Payment is by honor system, and I believe there is a 16-day limit.

Wherever you go in the Nevada/Southern Utah area, you can't go wrong as far as sights to see - have fun~

Circus Circus has a KOA right next to the Strip.
Mad Greek Restaurant in Baker,Ca has great coffee if you travel I15. Look for the giant coffee mug sign.

re:Vegas- We just returned from our SoCal safari and stayed at the Circus Circus KOA. Not cheap (March Break and they wanted $50 or so a night!) but real convenient to the strip. One block from the bus stop (take the double decker "Deuce", pay $5 for a 24 hr pass and get unlimited on/off's...and sit up top at the front for great photo ops!).The KOA is all pavement, but clean...nicest bathrooms we've encountered anywhere. Circus Circus is wall to wall kids...and the casino is showing its age, but you can't beat the campground for convenience. Trust me, you don't want to drive the strip. The CG had everykind of rig from monster busses to our Trill...even a German Sprinter MH with Deutsche licence plates.

Enjoy! Alistair

I agree with Jefflynne about Valley of Fire. We visited relatives in Las Vegas but camped at the Valley of Fire State Park. The walls of red limestone absolutely glow like red jewels when hit by sunrise or sunset rays. Also saw plenty of wildlife including fox, coyote, eagles, etc. We were told it is an old Indian spiritual ground. So we highly recommend it.

U R coming to the Spring Meet at The Fort, aren't ya, only a coupla weeks away. Friends who attended first time last fall in their new Escape, Wendy an Al just did the exact same trip. When are you going, before or after May long weekend, because they will be there with pix. They both were very sick throughout their trip but LOVED every minute of it....
So, "B There or be an L7"....LOL

Further to that, we have done the coast highway (camping) so many times I could ALMOST do it blindfolded, we have details available at The Fort
