Nick, Many manufactures actually have a program with their customers where the customer allows potential buyers to see the rig in person. The manufacture compensates the rig owner. Just call the manufacture your interested in and ask if they have a owner in your area. They will hook you up with owners in your area.

Or you can be like so many people I come across on the open road. They just ask to see inside. I have been followed (stalked) by many potential lookie lou......

I know when I was in the search mode, I walked up to peoples door if they had a egg parked in there driveway. Of course I was looking to buy but you could explain your looking to buy and you never know they may be looking to sell. Or at the very least you might get a peak in........... Good luck!

How to get a track record!

Getting real close to needing to make a decision. Heading to Wyoming in a couple weeks, then across to Pennsylvania and then I need to find my home. I'll be full timing so it needs to be the right decision.
Thanks for your help.

Nicholas
Does anybody besides me think that this is a match made in Trailer Heaven?
Lil Snoozy needs an actual user to tell us about this new trailer, and Nick is about to become available to take one on the road!
You guys even have the same NAMES, for crying out loud.
Snoozy Nick can't post promo info here forever, since he's a manufacturer, not an owner like the rest of us!
He needs somebody to take this baby on the road and report back.
Why not give one (temporarily- 6 months, say) to Nick Jones to "road review"?
Maybe he'd even do a blog or something. What great publicity, and a way to get the trailer "out there"!
Making a track record has to start somewhere-why not right here?
Think about it, guys!

Actually this doesn't sound like a bad idea Francesca. I have plans to travel throughout the mid-west, east coast and through the south into Florida in the July-Dec time frame. It certainly would give a good work out and get it out in front of people. I would gladly attend any rallies and open it up for all to see. Stock me with literature and I'll pass it out to anybody with even the slightest interest. The plus for me would be to confirm in my own mind that it would meet my long term needs.

Oh and the blog. Excellent idea and I would gladly do that and having a link from the Lil Snoozy site and of course FGRV would lend credence to the brand. I'm not a stranger or afraid to use the internet for for promotion.

I'm open if you're interested Nicholas. If not I'm still interested and intrigued by the product you've brought to market.

Thank you Robin. I plan to contact Scamp on Tuesday to pursue this very avenue.

Hear that, Snoozy Nick?
Here's a volunteer with his own TV who's willing to take the little girl on the road for all to see. You'll have a user posting his experience and suggestions here for potential buyers...
He looks and sounds real respectable, too.
!I'll bet he's even got insurance!
Oscar Meyer Weinermobile, stand aside for Team Snoozy!
And all you have to provide is the trailer...best bang for the 100% deductible advertising buck you'll ever come across
PLUS- there're enough folks in this forum who'd like to see the trailer- we might even be able to put together some kind of hosting network...
Oh.

And of course we all want to meet you, too, Nick J
If it comes together and you make it a-l-l-l-l the way to Hadlock, Washington, you're welcome to camp down by my pond!

Nick,
If you call Scamp they will refer you to an owner in your area so you can see their 5th wheel live & in person. This also gives you a chance to talk to an owner.
We love ours, the Escape would have been nice too, but price was a consideration. We decided on the Scamp 5'er & have no regrets. Went for the deluxe model with the larger fridge, since that was a major perk. Everyone is different. We're not particularly tall, 5'8'" & 5'9" & shrinking, I am very wide, the the bed is plenty roomy.
If you're passing through PA, we'd be happy to show you ours.
Happy shopping, & even happier camping.

Yes I'm planning on calling Scamp this week. I have some other questions I'd like answered. Since you ordered a deluxe how long did it take for delivery?

Where are you in relationship to Pittsburgh? I'm heading there in a few weeks to my sons.

One caveat about a fifth wheel for full time living is to consider how much of the pickup bed you are willing to give up for the hitch. It precludes having a locking cap or canopy to store stuff that you would not want to carry in the trailer, or make it easy to steal.
Just another point to consider.

Yep. You're correct. I have considered that. Since I'll be traveling solo I don't anticipate that as a big problem. I travel pretty light. I do have a retractable cap which makes it fairly easy to get in place for storage if I'm going to be one place for a while.

Thanks for the tip.

Hey Lil Snoozy

Thought I'd just bring this back to the top. After BigLew's additional pictures and his visit to Lil Snoozy I definitely want to take a look before a final decision. I've decided I really would like to use the bed of the truck to store the off season and other items that I just wouldn't wan to clutter up the inside. So Lil Snoozy I'm heading your way the first of July for a look.

Course I still like the suggestion that Francesca made earlier but if I like what I see I may just be ready to pluck down a deposit.

As it gets closer to a visit I'm getting a little more excited.

Hi, Nick

Did you ever get down there to take a look at the Snoozy?
If so, I'm interested in your impressions.
Or did you post them elsewhere, and I just missed them???
I've been gone for awhile...

Thanks!

Francesca

I think Nick has had a change of plans and is holding off in his quest for a trailer until next year, according to some of his latest posts.

I did read that- but I'd still appreciate getting Nick's impressions of the Snoozy, if he went to look at it!
