Thumbs up Life Saver

Most of us who attend NOG and The Oregon Gathering know Peter & Lynn. In today's Columbian Newspaper their is a article about Peter. He saved the life of a man at his health club. The man had a heart attack and Peter did CRP until emergent personal arrived. Peter saved Dick Malin life with CPR. Peter suggests that more people should learn CPR.

Even if you've never been taught CPR you can keep someone alive if you'll remember the old Bee Gee's song Stayin' Alive. Do chest compressions to the tempo of that song. Might be best if you only sing it in your head, though. You don't have to worry about doing the breathing, that's no longer reccommended for non-medical folks. Just keep their heart moving blood to the organs and brain. If you are not alone, have someone call 911, if you are alone call 911 first.

Once anything makes the news, it eventually makes it to the internet. Here are the 1st 2 links that come up, the first one even has a video.

I agree Yeah Peter.
It also shows the importance of keeping your CPR up to date, I often wonder why I keep recertifying, if we don't seem to ever need to use it. I see now that eventually you can be in the right place at the right time.

Every morning, while I'm on the elliptical machine at Planet Fitness, I hope that there's someone like Peter around.

Most cities have a free "save-a-life" days, where they teach CPR basics. Good to keep an eye out for those if your work doesn't provide it.

great read! Sounds just like Peter. Helpful and kind. And he's right, more people should learn CPR. You never know when you too will be in a place to save a life. It may even be at a family gathering, etc.

to Peter!
