Lil Snoozy Owners

Lil Snoozy Owners, I am sure there are some here. I am researching and looking for a camper. I visited the Lil Snoozy factory and liked what I saw ( the shape has finally grown on me) I have read here about the inside of the unit sweating with condensation. Do any of you have that problem or have seen it? I live in S. Florida so it is hot, I also plan on traveling out west and possibly leaving in in Colorado with my daughter so I would have a head start on a western trip next summer. What are you experiences with the condensation issue or leaking.

Thanks,

I haven't experienced any condensation myself.
I think BAMA may have had an issue when camping in Arizona?
Cracking his window I think was his solution. He'll probably be
along. I like being closed up with the A/C on and still haven't had
any condensation yet. Maybe I'm not as heavy a breather as others.......LOL

Last visit to the VA this week, my oxygen level was low enough they were
a tad concerned.........LOL

Sleeping in one also makes it grow on you............LOL

condensation can be an issue with almost any RV due to the relatively low amounts of insulation in them. The issue can crop up in cold weather, especially cold damp weather. But providing a bit of ventilation keeps things under control.

When we were camping at quartzite we had condensation I used a cube heater put it under the bed with storage door open and cracked bedroom window turned the fan on low , ( if I had a rheostat of some kind to slow the fan even more it would be even better ) this took care of the problem . Now we bought a Lil buddy heater not for under bed (propane )this should be the best way to heat and vent if you boon dock p.s. the used trailer is even lower priced and lots of extras http://lilsnoozyclub-com.webs.com/ap...still-for-sale I know this trailer well it is a good one

Certainly if you run the AC you will not have condensation; AC's remove water. We do not run heat or AC at night, an extra blanket when boodocking or the electric blanket when plugged in.

Insulation stops condensation. I've only seen condensation on thru fiberglass/insulation sections of our Scamp, principally on the windows and window frame near the bed.

It has never been a dripping problem though some mornings we wipe the windows near the bed during breakfast.

Thank you for some great information, that unit in Arkansas is tempting if It had the second bay window it would be the ticket.

As far as the condensation do you think it being outside next to the house closed up in S. Fl meaning humid and hot would be an issue? In my boat cabin we did get mildew so we kept (i can’t remember the name of it) stuff that collected the water it was an off the shelf little container with chips in it. (brain fart) and that worked but the fur did discolor over time. That is the main reason my wife doesn’t like the Scamp and Casita is she had to clean the boat fur.

Additional Picture window

I think it is dry deck ? any way that should work we use it here when we are at home , as for that used one I think the factory will install one
Additional Picture window $399.00 . so the price used to new about $2500. to $3500.difference lm just saying ? and if you buy it I will buy the cabinets that are in it instead of the window
snooz has no rat fur

This is what the wife uses when we aren't camping.
We also hang them around the church sanctuary in between meetings.
So far does a good job. Looks like there are crystals in the top half,
and when it's time to change the bottom part of the bag is full of water.
I think she buys these at Walmart.

We contemplated the extra picture window and opted for the extra cabinets since there is a large window by the kitchen sink. The extra cabinets gave us the extra room we needed. As far as condensation we did have a problem in Texas over the winter. We bought a dehumidifier and the problem was gone.

With this whole looking experience, there is a lot of confusion. Deciding what you like then deciding how you like it. Its making my head hurt… lol.
