okay!

so i don't know much about computers (or trailers!) but i do know when something changes. suddenly, today, my mouse won't wheel around and actually move the cursor.

Is it because the battery in the mouse is dead? it is the kiind without a cord. is it because the internet is especially busy? it started when i was on ebay.

now i find that i have to scroll down with the arrow instead of my mouse and when i tried to get to the bottom of a page, the blue thingy on the right side kept bouncing when it hit the box with the blue arrow in the far right corner?

i have been trying to move the cursor anywhere at all and i get a black circle with a diagonal line inside. is it me? have i caught a virus? HELP!!!!!

Sounds like a battery. If you are running a Win Doze box, cllick on the following:
Start
Control Panel
Mouse
Wireless Tab

Your battery level will show up there.

thanks, i looked for that control as you suggested./ do not find anything but a mouse with a cord icon. it did nothing.

tried something called wireless and that was scary, it moved the icon all over the page but did nothing else. had a great deal of trouble getting back here.

i will replace the mouse batteries tomorrow. thanks again, alice

Did you double click the "mouse with a cord icon"? It should open up a window labeled Mouse Properties.

That is where the wireless tab is.
