Looking for Boler help

Hi. This is my very first post here. I actually was looking for a website with a devoted forum for me to ask a few questions. My 87 year old mother has had what we have recently discovered to be a boler camper that she has just used as a storage shed for the past 14 years! We didnt think it was worth anything other to be a shed. After discovering it might have some value I talked to Mama and have agreed to sell it to someone who could fix it up and get some enjoyment from it. It wolud really be a godsend to her as well to get a little money for it. What I was hoping was to pick your brains to form a somewhat reasonable idea of what we have and a resonable price to sell it. In doing some reasearch over the past few days I know that it is a 1973 Boler. It is not the american Boler. That I know for sure. It has the refrigerator, the stove, the sink and table. I have no clue as to whether the stove refrigerator or sink work. It has all the cushions as well. I believe that they are as they were when purchased. They do not appear to be reupholstered. the door is sagging a bit but I understand that is a common problem from reading on this site and others. It does not have the screen door and is missing the door handle. The tires will defiantly need replacing as they are beyond flat. The floor inside is stable and original. There is an antenna on the roof that I am not sure is supposed to be there. The skylight window wont stay closed so we placed something on top to hold it down to prevent water from entering. Both windows are there. The seals seem to me to be fine. Im not sure of any other info but would gladly answer any questions you have in hopes to figure out what would be a good asking price for it. we don't look to make a fortune. Just enough to get Mama a larger TV as her vision is failing and her 19 inch doesnt seem to be doing the job, and maybe a bit for a rainy day. The trailer is in need of repair that is obvious. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try looking in our Archives linked here

Welcome Beck.
We keep an Archive of all the sold trailers from the "For Sale" forum.

I went to the Classified Archives that is presently 59 pages long and searched for the word "Boler" with 9 pages of results. Scan through those results looking for what you feel matches the condition of your mother's trailer and see what those prices average out to. There will be some non-Boler hits because the word "Boler" shows anywhere, even in the avatar of some of the commentators.

Probably the most dedicated forum on the WWW for Bolers, is Bolerama. Like here, you'd need to become a member to post.

A Boler that has sat for 14 years will definately need new tires and probably a new axle as well. A replacement roof vent can be purchased from most RV centers. Screen doors on Bolers are usually customer made as Boler didn'r offer this item. If the rest of the parts are there and you can get it out of the garden and clean it up so that it looks reasonable a fixer-upper might get between $500 and $1500 depending on condition. If it can be towed then it's worth more than if it has to be haulled on a flatbed. Check out the want adds here in the forum and then place your own. You will have a bunch of new friends calling. Good luck.
