Smile love our 5500 trillium

took our second trip in our 1980 5500 trillium, camped at Kern River California 100+ degree weather and stayed cool, gotta love all those windows.we werent sure if we spent too much on it ($6500) because it is in less then perfect condition, but after two weekend trips, we are so glad we have it. our only regret is that we didn't get one sooner. now that camping season is almost over we want to start remodeling our marshmellow (that's what it looks like), we need ideas, anyone have a 5500 they can share pictures of, We will post pictures as soon as I either learn how or get one of my kids to do it.

Art glad to hear your enjoying your trailer. As you know there are not a lot around. If you take a look at fiberlgassrv.com under the sold sections for Trilliums you will find a few old listings with photos that may help you.

Art, re the price - If you brought your Trillium to BC where we have a lot of Trillium's around you would have little problem selling your trailer for what you paid for it - if not more :-) People here appreciate the fact they are a rare find and are willing to pay for it. Not to mention that Scamps and Casita's are still a fairly rare find in BC so only competing fiberglass trailers in its size are Bigfoots and older Bolers.

Curtis thats a nice shine on your trailer ;-))

Art. I have a 1300 and a 5500 and have done extensive renovations to both. I can do a write up and post pictures. I did this earlier but they may be lost in this web page providers archives. Brian Edmonton, Alberta

Thanks carol, (that was Pre waxing!).

Today the battle is plumbing. Fixed the grey water dam or valve or gate or what ever it's called. Now there is a leak I see further up the plumbing. Argh. And the black water gate is leaking.

Must be fixed! On the road Saturday am.

Oh yeah and I have this job thing I have to do 9 hours a day!

Brian,
pictures and ideas would be greatly appreciated, the only thing we have done is replaced the plywood floor (not an easy task as the plywood is glooed down to the fiberglass) we would like to either paint the cabinets or redo them, also we were thinking of either replacing the ensolite or painting it if that is an option. we are waiting on examples of what others have done before we start anything.
thanks in advance.
