MaxII vent covers

I saw where someone mentioned on another forum about getting a Max Air II vent cover. I am wondering what advantage there is to doing that? I suppose there are other brands also. I'd like some input. They don't seem to be expensive but are they worth doing and why.

I think the Max Air II allows the use of a powered vent such as the fantastic fan. If you do not have or need such a fan you probably don't need the Max Air II.

It's my understanding that Maxx will last longer than Camco, possibly due to UV resistance or type of material used. These covers allow the vent to stay open anytime or all the time for ventilation. No worry about rain coming in. Ventilation can be the key to stopping interior mold growth in eggs.

I have a cover/fan on my rear vent and a plain cover on my forward vent. Windows are the slider type, so I can't leave those open, but my vents stay open 24/7 while parked in my back yard.

I have two Maxx II's on my Bigfoot, covering my Fantastic fans. I also have a Maxxair window vent over a kitchen window. Unless there is a wind-driven horizontal rain, I can leave these open most of the time to circulate air. The covers have been on for over three years with no sign of UV damage. The Fantastic company does not endorse the use of covers, but the Maxx II seems to have more than enough air flow to work just fine.

The Maxxair window vents for sliding windows are awesome!!! I could not install a cover over my roof Fantastic Fan as I need to watch my trailer height to get into the covered storage - the window vents allow me to leave the window open in the rain.

Just ordered after much research. Only found one owner who did not like the looks and wanted to be able to open vent all the way. All other post in this and other sites really liked their maxxair.
Mine should be in the next couple of days. Tired of the wife telling me there is a chance of rain and having to go out to shut the Casita up. And it will get warmer as the summer comes to Iowa.
