I was released Wednesday and immediately flew to Baltimore and my sister's place where I will spend 2-4 weeks working on my strength before returning home. My hope is to be back at work part time soon after the new year. So the fish fry is definitely on my calendar.

I expect to get back to my normal participation as I work on my endurance. Plus this eMac is proving to be a bit of a handful. The keyboard is turning out to be a special handful!

And while I'm at it, thankyou to teveryone who sent a card. They were especially well receiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Hi, Steve L - I'm so glad to hear from you! We've been missing you around here!

I don't know you Steve (or Roy) but a brother in need is certainly a good reason to pray! I've prayed for you too Steve. God speed in recovery. May you be back here soon!

Karl :v/

(And I didn't read to the end of the thread either before posting! Go Steve Go)

It's been a very long time, and it was a long and winding road for Steve, so it is with regret I'm posting a final update.

On March 11th, 2020 Steve passed away at St. Mary's Hospital. At this time, a funeral service is not planned. The family will honor his memory in a private ceremony.

If you would like to make a donation in Steve's name please feel free donate to the Michigan Human Society (www.michiganhumane.org).

The family would appreciate any memories you would like to share, be it a picture or a story, to the Turowski Funeral Home (https://turowskifuneralhome.com/obit...labroad.130951)

I know that it has been so long that many will not know Steve — please forgive this brief downbeat intrusion.

I was not around for the events of this thread, but since I came on board in 2014 Steve was one of those “E.F. Hutton” posters: when he spoke it was always worth hearing. Knowledgeable and genuinely kind, his presence will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

Well said. Steve was a real curmudgeon in a nice sort of way. I'll miss his posts.

Oh, I am so sorry. Steve, for those who haven't been members as long as some of us, was for several years part of the site team. I never met him face-to-face, but always hoped to. I appreciated Steve's sense of humor, his knowledge of camping in small molded fiberglass travel trailers (his "Castle Pretentious"), and his help in the arbitration sometimes required to keep these forums welcoming to folks who come to us for help. Steve was one of the good ones. I miss him already.

Brad----my most sincere condolences to you on Steve's passing.

As we here consider ourselves to be one big family, we all have lost a valued member of the clan. Just seeing his avatar once again made me smile, as I always enjoyed seeing those glasses on him.

May he rest in peace.

This makes me so very sad. For a number of years I worked with Steve... and Mary... and others as part of the FiberglassRV site team. But, I never got an opportunity to meet him until last November. We were able to spend a couple of hours F-2-F chatting and laughing. A memory I'm always going to cherish.

RIP Steve.

Very sad to hear of Steve's passing. I always enjoyed the many banterings and exchanges with him on the forum. He was truly a wit and had a wicked sense of humor that I appreciated. It's a sad fact that many of us are in, or approaching, our "upper years" and it just goes to show how fragile the thread of life can be. We should all reflect on our own limited time on earth and enjoy our families, our friends, and all of life's experiences to the fullest. No one never knows when we will also be called home. I will miss his presence here, and although I never met him personally, I feel that we would have hit it off great if we had.

Rest in peace Steve.
