So where is everyone going camping for Memorial Day Weekend??? Well me, Julie and Mike have done one weekend lastweek camping to get warmed up. Now come this weekend we will be going to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Were only going for a few days, but as we all know a few days in the Casita makes for a Great Vacation.:party
So lets hear back from you all and see where the rest of us are going for our Holiday Weekend!!!
I will post a photo or 2 when we get back!

We are going to run up to Edgerton Wi. to our old campground ( we used to have a 28' Terry on a perminant site there) and visit some old friends.

Booo hoooo... no camping for us. Our son is graduating from college next Sunday -- which is a good thing! But no camping for us.

Memorial Weekend
We will be camping in Columbus-Belmont State Park at Columbus KY. This park overlooks the Mississippi River and contains a portion of the chain streched across the river during the civil war.

I'm sure EVERYONE knows where I'll be, but just to make sure. :) I'll be 6 miles south of Kansas off highway 75. Big Tribal Powwow. Anyone coming through or in the area want to come join come on. We don't care what nationality you are. We just want to have fun. (no liquor please. I know it's hard for some to have fun and not drink, but you can do it. ) Thursday night through Sunday night. Hear those Drums YES. :lol

This weekend won't work for me...
I'm still gonna be divesting myself of my possessions this weekend. I am just hoping it stops raining long enough to have a yard sale!:huh (tests for raindrops) (mutters to self about the need for 100 boxes to hold possessions she can't let go of yet!):shg (wonders if movers will show on time tomorrow):conf (wonders if movers will ruin priceless junk on its way to Utah):sad
Jana, are there any powwows later in the summer or fall? I've always wanted to attend one, but I won't be draggin' until at least the first week of August.

Memorial Day Camping
:o Unfortunately, we will be stuck doing a bunch of yard work over the Memorial Day weekend. Have to pull out a bunch of overgrown bushes (at least I get to play with my new truck :banana ) and haul a bunch of broken branches and sumac bushes to the dump. :violin
The NEXT weekend, however, we will be at the Shipshewana, Indiana Campground (South location). Would be happy to talk with any "egg" campers that have the time and ability to head over that way.

There are Powwows all the time - almost every weekend, I just don't go to all of them. :lol This is my tribes event and then a much smaller one the end of Sept. Different tribes have them different times. If you know when, I can look some up. I only remember two in July. The only ones I camp at are our two.
**Wow, Jana!! I didn't know we were all invited!! **
I figured I was safe in telling everyone so late. not everyone just drops what they are doing and goes powwowing. :laugh
