Mesick Mushroom Festival in Michigan

Is anyone a Morel lover?
http://www.mesick-mushroomfest.org/schroomers.html

The festival is May 9-12. I'm camping with some of my friends who are vintage 'stickie' owners, at at Northern Exposure campground in Mesick. Come in and camp if you've got "feelings for the fungus"

OK, this one I might be able to make. I will have to bring Kevin and a keg of beer.

Ask HIM what I mean.

That would be so great, Cindy!! that's 2 fg'rs Right now, I have a couple of girlfriends and their husbands coming also. They have lovely little vintage stick built campers (we belong to TCT and a Glamper group). We're going to be getting our sites reserved next week. I'll let you know where we are.

What site should we reserve if we can make it?

I love morel mushrooms. I have not had any in years. As a kid, we hunted them every spring, and every spring, when you can smell spring in the air, I get a real hankering for hunting them again.

Mushrooms. GAG!!! Only food I've ever eaten that nearly triggers the gag reflex and I'm not kidding. Don't know if it's the taste or the texture but there it is. You guys can have our share.

I love mushrooms! That having been said...

I'm not sure I'd eat any from a place called "Me Sick" ....

No way I can go, but I love morels. How about going and picking for me?

Cyndi,

We found one of the biggest stashes of morels I have ever found up the hill from you while we were in college. We wandered off from a party in the Dunnings Spring park.

Hence the reason that instead of a stick, we need a keg of beer.
