Doubt that it was a scam, had a phone number local to where we were, Mary called and talked to a woman and was told it had been
sold three days before. It was our first day in Maine and we just saw the ad. Some people don't research the true value of what they are selling. For example, we almost got our
Uhaul for $1000 because the RV dealer had no knowledge about small
fiberglass trailers, BUT, before they would commit to a price they did some looking online and we ended up paying $1800, which we feel was still a bargain. I have seen scam ads on craigslist, and even responded to one, but when I was told that the
Scamp was at a shipping company and could be shipped anywhere for free, then I knew it was a scam and discontinued contact with the "seller"!
