Has anyone traveled Mississippi hwy 6 from Tupelo heading to Arkansas? I am very worn out with going through Memphis and thought I might give it a try on my trip in a week or so. All help appreciated.

I am going to Sheridan. It is about 30 miles south of Little Rock. I am all for a fun way. That is why I wanted to ? maybe try hwy6. I am tired of 78. Please share with me.

Susan, I think you are close to Athens? The driving time for me is the same but for you to go to Sheridan I think you might save time. Form Atlanta take I 20 To Tuscaloosa Alabama ( HOME OF THE TIDE !! ) Take hwy. U.S. 80 TO Greenville Mississippi cross the river into arkansas to U.S. 65 North to the north side Pine Bluff then U.S. hwy 270 to Sheridan . alt. drive if you have a little more time. I 20 all the way to Vickburg miss. lots to see, cross the river to Tallulah Louisana Take U.S. 65 north to Pine Bluff . If you go this way you can stop in Transavalina (home of Drac the vampire ) on to lake provendence then on to pine bluff. Wich ever way you go i would like to here about your trip, hope you have lots of fun ,. I like the 1 st way better . Lots to see that way too hope to here about it . yours H.B.

Thank You HERSCHEL! The first route sounds just perfect. I am going to try it. Yes, I am near Athens. I live at Lexington which is 18 miles east of Athens. I connect with I-20 by going south to Greensboro. Sure I will trip report.
