Ian and I wanted to share what has come into our lives because it has made such a difference, and should make a great difference when camping season comes again.
The story explains what the WalkAide device is and does. I wanted all of you to know just to get the word out there, since I didn't know such a device existed until I happened to meet a woman at a continental breakfast in a motel in Montana. Lucky thing Ian was wearing a T-shirt from an MS fundraising event.
This is the Canadian version of the device. In the States, a similar thing is the Bioness L300. Please pass the word around. You never know who could be helped. See the link at http://www.timescolonist.com/like+mi...635/story.html
Thanks.
Vicki

Vicki, that is wonderful!

Ian: New jogging shoes and a track suit for Christmas? Sounds like you'll need it to keep up with her!

These are a great invention, My wife and I for a number of years were caregivers for a handicapped couple, he with MS and moving about on a scooter hadn't walked in 8 years, and she with bad Rheumatoid arthritis. He bought some of these to try with the idea he could get his money back in 30 days if they didn't work for him. When he first got them He wanted me to walk with him in case he needed help, he didn't but was so out of shape from not being able to walk for so long he gave up trying because his back hurt so much the next day. He died last April not do to his MS and his wife had forgot about the things and then came across them one day, she took them back but of course it was over the 30 days and the guy said although he couldn't give her the monet back that he would resell them and give her the money. Its been some time since then and he's either not selling any or he's just pushing the new ones since he's got no incentive to sell hers when he can sell a new set. Maybe she ought to get them back and sell them on ebay or Craig's list herself
