I don't currently have an awning, but I'm going to purchase the A&E (Dometic) Case Awning. See the Helpful-Links page here for more links information about the case awning and the ShadyBoy:
Awnings, Parts and Optional Equipment
I am basing my purchase decision on viewing Joy A.'s case awning at the Oregon Gathering. She's shorter than I am and get open and close the awning easily. Joy has instructions on mounting the awning on YahooScampers site here:
Joy's 2001 13 footer awning project You need to be a member of YahooScampes to view however.
The brackets for the case awning for our egg shaped trailers are available here:
Fiamma, optional brackets. If you wanted you could also order the screen room from Fiamma
Screen Room
There have been comments about how these awnings allow water to run between the awning case and the outside of the trailer making the awning unusable in rainy weather. That's true, unless you stop it! Either by using EZ-Gutter on the backside, or I've read where someone had used the rubber mop board material used on a wall when using linoleum...whatever that stuff is called??
Now, if Camping World would just put the case awning on sale
