More Counterspace in my Trillium 1300

I know I know, I'm a little manic. Just made a new sink cover that extends to the end of the counter and cut it to wrap the faucet. Adjusted the measurements of the stoppers underneath so there is next to no movement. Oak veneer, so stained it dark to match cabinets. Looks great and now I have somewhere to put my little microwave! Eventually I will make a second piece that sits a little over the stovetop with 4 sides. Basically a shallow cube with no bottom. Dowels will fit into first portion to join and stop movement. I also put little rubber circles on the corners to stop movement and make sure no scratching on fiberglass. Not too shabby for my 4th day of ownership! Woo Hoo! P.S. Cost me nothing - I already had the wood and stain and used the original stoppers off the original cover. Pictures are coming!

Couldn't wait

So I couldn't wait and I have completed the second part of the additional counter space that covers the stove top! Modified my initial design by notching over the first part going over the sink. No dowels needed. Nice snug fit utilizing the gap between the edge of the cook top and the fold up table. A quick fix, could be better if I had larger pieces of wood but does the trick for now. Can just lift off when I want to use the burners. Camera is charging Donna! The pictures they are a coming! I'm almost ready to go, getting itchy feet! I'm going to register it tomorrow.......just might not make it back home heeheehee[ QUOTE=Donna D.;262574]Gosh I hope so! Sounds neato. [/QUOTE]
