Motor Home Fuel Tank

Before I owned this motor home the gas tank was filed with sand and the cap was left off. As a result the tank rusted. Iíve removed the tank and cut the top off.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a fuel tank ?

The website name notwithstanding, this is a forum for molded fiberglass trailers, so not a lot of information about motorhomes here. Depending on what you've got, a general RV forum like iRV2.com or a specialty forum for vintage units might get better results.

Is this one of the vintage GMC fiberglass-bodied motorhomes from the 70's?

you don't have to go away but you will get better returns on information specific to your motorhome on forums that are focused on it.

If you hadn't cut the top out, gas tank renu could have fixed it.

Not on my account, I hope! I love those old GMC's, but I'm not mechanically inclined, so I enjoy them vicariously.

I dunno, but I think I'd measure the dimensions of the tank, and the space in the frame that the tank is in, then check with various places that sell aux tanks for trucks and such, like JustGasTanks.com supplies motorcycle gas tanks, ATV Fuel Tanks, Titan fuel Tanks, Rotopax fuel packs. Top seller of IMS Gas Tanks, Acerbis Fuel tanks. or Boyd Welding LLC ‚ÄĒ Custom Aluminum Diesel Fuel and Gas Tanks or TANKS Inc. gas tanks for street rods, muscle cars, custom cars and trucks or whatever.
