More music

I was going to mention too, that a friend of ours who is REALLY into music, has copied or downloaded 4- 40 gb hardrives full of music. That's over 30,000 songs or something. She spent all of last summer getting most of Bill's music onto her computer. I guess she collects music like I collect fabric, so I can understand.

My music tastes

My musical tastes are a little different than what I've read so far. Basically I am into the "jam" band style of music. The Grateful Dead being the pioneers of this genre are what got me hooked. I love the spontaneity and unknown that comes from improvisational jamming.

It is great to see concert after concert where few songs are repeated, and if they are, they have a whole new sound and style to them than previously played.

Another great thing is many of the bands in this genre allow fans to tape their live performances. Check out my live music collection of legal, live recorded concerts and performances at http://db.etree.org/jeremymary

Thanks for listening...:guitar :drums

Favorite tunes

We feel all alone out here.... Nobody likes Gerry Rafferty? "The Ark" is my favorite song. I also like Leadbelly (Whoa Buck)and Tony Joe White (They Caught the Devil and put Him in Jail in Eudora Arkansas), CCR, Joe Cocker and Folkslieder. I can't listen to classical music and drive at the same time. It requires too much concentration and road noise detracts. Claudia likes MoTab and Doo Wop.

UP DATE

Thanks Chester for bringing this forward.....we've added another 100 CDs this summer with more to come.....

Nancy: Donna catalogs all of our records and CD's...(3 small notebooks with artists only and 4 large 3 ring notebooks that list each item and all the song titles) 99 percent typed on a portable electric typewriter (ribbons are getting hard to find) !!!

Darline: We winter in Mesa......almost time to head back..hopefully we can do a mini this winter at one of the reservoirs like "Lake Pleasant"
