My daughters new trailer
OK She is actually only 15, and doesn't even have a learners license yet, so I have time to fix it up for her wedding. She is one of a set of twins. The other twin wants a Bigfoot Spirit Wing fifth wheel. The daughter who is getting this trailer wants to have a small foot print. She is the one who said to me, the first time she explored my dad's lake front cottage, "daddy, daddy, it's even better then the trip!!!!! This is after spending three days in the van, with no air in the back, (steerage), and stopping only one night at a camp site. She loves to travel, and a smaller Trillium made sense.
This one is built for only two people. The front has the smallest bathroom I have ever been in. It is a good thing that she is small. Her twin is about six inches taller then her.
The first issues will be the windows, the back escape hatch is broken. Also two panes in the front window are missing. It is a good thing that it is not in the bathroom side, that side is frosted. I happen to have four clear panes from a 1300. They are parts I got on kijiji for free, along with a complete side window and one good tail light. I love kijiji.
The problems don't end with the windows. The roof vent is 9" x 9". This is no good for the first upgrade I plan to make, a Fantastic fan. I will have to cut a bigger hole. The belly band has calking on the top, a very bad sign. There appears to be a defect in the fiberglass in front of the bathroom on the outside. A rusty crack right through gel coat, about 1" above the belly band. Also below the belly band at the same spot, a rusted wood screw seems to be protruding from the inside. I have not found it on the inside yet, (see picture). Some PO put a wood cabinet on the seat that is beside the bath room.
Oh sure, it is a fixer upper, but it has all the bells and whistles. I have time to make it right, (I hope).

Great find, thx for the pics. Lucky kids.
I saw a 13' Carefree on Gabriola island that had the same lay out w/ tiny bathroom. Would have grabbed it but it had major crack along the fibreglass roof seams and water damage.
Look forward to the progress.

Way to go DAD! I don't know who's luckier... your kids or you... since you've obviously instilled the love of molded into your children. It's nice to know when kids are actually paying attention. You did good!!
Put me in line after Phil for adoption.

Great photos of a great little trailer that I am sure you will have spiffy in short time. I presume that is an original bathroom, I've never seen a Trilly like that, neat.

Yes, I am sure that it is factory. I saw one advertised in Ottawa that had the same layout. The half seat is all fiberglass, and the walls of the bathroom are covered in ensolite on both sides.

The bathroom is original factory equipment, I saw another one at the 2010 Bullard's Beach Rally. The owner reported that Trillium-Outback doesn't have the original molds but wants the dimensions to reproduce bathroom layouts.

Hmmm... Maybe Joe Thoen will trade me an escape hatch for some quality time with my trailer. I wonder if it is fiberglass under the ensolite on the bathroom walls?

Here is one for sale in Quebec.
They have fixed it up nice. Looks like they put an even bigger cabinet on top of the seat, with a microwave. Some ideas for the future.
Some interesting differences:
This is a 1976, my daughters is a 1977.
This has the Bargman L300 lock, my daughters has an L400.
The logo on the door is different.
The shelf above the dinette is green instead of antique white.

Lucky girls to have a Dad to do this for them. Assume you are also providing the TV? Enjoy.

Wow! That's a great trailer for that price. It's good thing I live far away...and have no room...or money....why was this a good thing again?

No on the road, the one in the drive way is the one we use, there are now two 1300's in the back yard. It was only only on the street for a few weeks.

Oh it will be a while. First on the list is the belly band of the trailer that we use, Life Support. Actually, the Cantaloupe is first. That is my practice unit. I have put more work into that one lately. Mostly sanding.
The daughter that gets that trailer recently said yes to dating the to the Calvin Klein model that has been chasing her for the last seven months. The parentals found out yesterday. Only 24 hrs after the fact. My daughters still talk to me. My brother finds that amazing. I think I may have some more hands to help sand now. Heh heh!
