Figured you all might enjoy these pictures of me pulling my recently acquired Scamp 16 up from Denver to a campsite near Buena Vista in the mountains.

The jeep pulls the Scamp very well despite the short wheel base. The jeep has a Chevy 350 in it, NV4500 5 speed manual and a lift with 35" tires among other things.

Dear Ben,

Your rig looks nice! What do you pull the Jeep with? Do you pull both Jeep and Scamp? Is your Jeep tow bar home made? It is nice to have that winch if you ever need it.

thats not a tow bar. its a stinger. its a bumper that prevents the truck from rolling forward on steep descents and also prevents the radiator and motor compartment from destruction in a low speed roll over. Its a rock crawling thing.

Howdy from one Jeep owner to another.

Nice rig you've got there. I used to tow our previous trailer (Little Guy teardrop) with my 4 bangin' Jeep on 33's. Jeeps and little trailers always seemed like a good combo.

anybody watch the rock climbing championships out of Salt Lake last year? I was there. No experience with it or understanding of it but it was one the most fun things I have ever been to... short of the Winternationals of course. In truth everything is fun with a Bud... or two.

Yeah, I tow the Scamp with the Jeep. No other tow vehicle. The front bar is a stinger that I made for the reason stated above.

When the whole family goes I tow the Scamp with our Suburban but when it is just me and the guys the Jeep pulls the Scamp. It is slow on the highway (I rarely go above 60) but it does well and is nice when I get where I'm going!
