Nice Find!

A 1974 might be one of the first years produced and could provide a missing link in the history of these. I'm wondering where you picked up the "minit" to add to your topic title?

I'd love to see some pictures of anything that details the manufacturing labels for clues. Any documentation would be a bonus. Maybe you can provide some info to what we have been able to determine of the history of these trailers so far.

I love that model of the VW. Both are rare finds, you'll be a hit at any shine and show.

To me It seems like Perris Valley Bought these Trailers form The company that made the Minit and put there logos and Vin plates on them But its just a guess, or maybe they just borrowed the name.

In the Gallery the Minit and the Perris Pacer Pics are very similar.

Im not sure hot true it is but i read online that the minit was made By Beta Industries in Washington state

Hopefully the paperwork Will help Fill some holes In the Info

Great stuff Jason!

The way it is written makes me wonder if the "Minit" model was the name of a package option (like the boler Voyager) or a carry over from the Minit trailer by Beta Design.

Thank you for sharing. The pricing just shows how these trailers hold their value. Barring inflation, a trailer that sold for $2 grand brand new can be used and sold 35+ years later for at least the same or much more if in excellent condition.

Another clue to the correlation between the Pacer and the Minit is that quilted vinyl interior! I haven't seen it used on any other trailers but these two brands... kissin' cousins if nothing else.

Yeah I also have a 72 bus that will I eventually tow with, in addition to the truck I'll probably even paint the bus to match the trailer it's orange and white now.
