My project

Bought this (actually nearly stole it) a few weeks ago. There's a few picture when I brought it home and a few pictures of the work I've done. Not going to try and customize or chop up. Trying to leave it as original as I can. Comments are welcome.

Congratulations Chris!

That looks like a great project. We bought our Trillium 4500 in 2015 and have been restoring it ever since. We love the camper. In addition to restoring it, we've already towed it to FL (2016) and TX/LA (2017)!! The Trillium 4500 like other FGRVs has VERY sturdy components (FG body, vintage Hehr windows, ensolite, etc). If the frame is solid, you are in great shape. If not, its fixable.

I will look for any of your Trillium 4500 specific questions. I recently posted my 110vac/12vdc converter fix. Previously posted taillight and side marker replacements, etc. You can check my registry for list of camper changes.

Welcome and good luck!

Because you have the expanded kitchenette to accommodate the larger fridge, I think you have a 1978 or newer. You can check with David Tilston about this. He also maintains a list of all Trilliums, so you can provide info about your Trillium to him if you wish.

I am in need of a couple of items. i'm a newbie on here and I've searched but no luck.

im in need of new tail light lens, actually driver side only but im sure ill have to buy in a pair.

im needing a new set of door hinges and the rubber going around the door.

previous owner took down filon. if I go back with filon then it will cost me 3 times as much as I paid for the camper but I would still be way ahead. im think some sort of carpet. what are your thoughts

I bought the hinges from McMaster Carr in 2015 or 2016. Part number is 1276A52. The 3/8" required offset hinge was not listed but when I entered the part number on the McMaster Carr website they showed up. I think I paid about $125 for two hinges including shipping. McMaster Carr accepts credit cards on their website. Other websites sell the Trillium specific hinges but are not as convenient and don't take credit cards.

You can buy the taillights (new old stock) from Paul Neumeister's website Fiberglass-RV dot CA
He's located in Sebringville, Ont. His phone # is (519-393-6410). Address is 345 Huron Road, Sebringville, Ontario, NOK 1X0

I can't comment on the rubber seal for around the door or for replacement for the hull lining material. Others may comment and you'll find many threads on these topics by searching this website.

McMaster Carr hinges

I just checked the McMaster Carr website and appears the part # is still valid and they can still be ordered. Looks like the same price I paid.

Only comment I have about the hinges I order from MC, is that the pins were inserted in the hinges for a left mounted door. I had to VERY CAREFULLY punch the pins out and flip them. I say "very carefully" because I've read on this forum that if you are not careful doing this you will crack/break the hinge.

window fit!

It appears the EBAY replacement window that you installed fits great on the outside. Great job Chris!

Thanks!!! It was a great fit. Had to do a little work because previous owners cut out about half inch to install window unit.

Do you have a link for the window? Or, was it used from someone who had only one of them? I would love to find a source for them. Good score, either way.

The liner will be tough to replace. Current methods are reflectix, (search this word) and rat fur hull liner. Not bad, but I still like the original Ensolite, or Elephant hide.

I would contact trillium and see if they'll sell you some OEM liner. If not, they'd probably tell you what it is or where to get it. Trillium Trailer Parts | Trillium Trailers
