Our it could just be that someone skipped geography or international studies in school. Based on questions I have been asked regarding Canada while traveling that appears to be a fairly common situation. As a result they may think we don't have any roads going to Alaska through Canada as they are not needed as most people in Canada get to work using a snowmobile, dog sled or ride our pet moose, don't we?

Just south of you we're still riding horse back, circling wagons, and fighting Indians.

Not having any trouble with the Quebecois or flak catchers in Manila. However, I'm of an age when dealing with home invasion by the salesmen, solicitors, and appointment secretaries of Upspeak Nation is getting on my nerves. I want them neither to misunderstand nor misconstrue that when I ask them to slow down, enunciate, and give unslurred utterance to each digit of a phone number, I am indeed on the edge of language-induced hostility.

Yea well boy we've heard rumours about such stuff from some of them there Canadian beer runners of yours we have been catching in the woods most days and from our US milk runners. The milk runners claim to have even seen recent smoke signals coming from the south saying something about the wagons circling. But dont you get any ideas and start falling for those rumors that we have the worlds longest undefended border. No sir, don't you worry there boy we've been stock piling snow balls to fight back with ever since 1812 the last time your bunch got out of line!
