Not much info, but here are some pictures of a trailer identified as a Wisp:

The roofline is not the same as the mystery trailer, though...

There is a "Yurpeen" company called Elldis that makes a trailer called a Wisp, and funny coincidence you show what appears to be a "Yurpeen" style cast hitch with "overturn" linkage and handle.
Sorry, the Elddis Wisp is/was a stickie:

and that's not a Yurpeen hitch/over-run brake coupler.

I think that's a North Merkan (seeing as so many eggs come from Canuckia) trailer.

Well I can't tell you anything about them but I have a 1979 Wisp 13 footer also! I bought it from a guy who converted it to a snowcone stand, he says it was a Dr Pepper concession trailer when he got it. I was planning on building a custom egg. It is currently gutted but it does have a full fiberglass belly pan and it very towable if anyone is interested . It is titled as a Wisp (manufacture ) and as utility trailer (model) . I have since bought a verrrry rare Pierce -Arrow 13' 7", 1936 built Travelodge that I will be restoreing instead of building the custom egg. Don't get excited I'm still pulling my 13' Scamp to the hotrod shows , at least till the Pierce is finished ( that may be ten years at my current pace) . The Wisp has a couple inches more headroom than my scamp and may be a couple inches wider. The overall construction is a top half and bottom half joined at the belt line. The door fits much better then my 75 Scamp and having an enclosed belly pan seems like a better idea. The fender wells are open so tire/wheel acess is easier. If anyone wants it I'll take $750 USD.

Hi Ron,

You might want to post an ad in the 4 sale section on this one. Many folks are looking for just what you have, one to "Make their own"

In the meantime, so you have some pictures of the inside (Gutted or no) that you can share with us?

And I just might buy it cause it held Dr Pepper (Just kidding)

Gina, It's about 20 degrees outside with 2-3 inches of snow . I'll try to get some pics later and post a for sale ad. Who knows I could take my fold up chair and cot and pull it to Bluebonnet in Texas.

Here's a picture of a vintage Pyuce-Arrow, built back in the fifties, I think, in Rednek, NJ. (That's near Mahwah.)

Ok, it's official. Looks like Wisp is a legit FG trailer! Does it qualify for the homepage list? Room for one more.

From my reading of the UK Al-Ko web site, it appears that their style of what North Americans call "surge brakes" is an overrun system - as in a system to keep the the trailer from running into the back of the tow vehicle. The one in the photo has a cast coupler, but is on an A-frame, and looks rigid to me - not set up to slide and pull a brake cable. I've seen cast couplers here, and my guess is that Andrew (as expected) is correct: this is North American hardware.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.
