Hi all,
I bought a 1997 13"
Casita Patriot and I'm in the process of fixing and replacing equipment to get it ready for travel. In the process I've decided to name the trailer, but I'm caught up in grammatical indecision. Anyone care to help me fine tune the name I've selected?
The long form name I've decided on is: The
fiberglass T.A.R.D.I.S.
For those who might not recognize the reference, the T.A.R.D.I.S. is a traveling time machine used by Dr. Who in the British TV series of the same name. It stands for "Time And Relative Dimension In Space".
I also considered "The White T.A.R.D.I.S." since the real TARDIS is a deep blue color and frequently referred to as 'the blue box'. But I like the
fiberglass reference better.
For the purposes of putting lettering on the trailer I'm thinking about something like this:
The 'Glass T.A.R.D.I.S.
In large part the question comes down to punctuation and grammar. I can do what ever I want, but I'd like it to look classy and serve as a topic of discussion. What I'm undecided about is the "glass" portion of the name. If I abbreviate
fiberglass as 'glass should I put an apostrophe before glass and should glass be capitalized? My searches on grammar web sites haven't been fruitful.
Your thoughts?
