Need Help To ID This Trailer
I saw moulded FG this trailer in Sitka, AK, last Wednesday. We were walking from the ship we were on to our hotel when I snapped this, and planned to go back to investigate further, but forgot. Was too busy doing other stuff in the 4 short days we were in Sitka.
It looks very much like one posted here a while ago, but I just can't seem to find that thread.

Sorry I cant help out on the id'ing of it. But that is an AMAZING find Jim- a FG trailer of that size- a 5'er none-the-less. And, apparently, it has some age on it as well. Thanks for sharing!

I really wish I had of had a chance to check it out closer. It looked in good shape from a short distance.

This trailer was recently parked here, as a 2011 Google Street View shows it not there.
The boat trailer is the same, and a new building was erected too.

I seen boat parts around it making me wonder if it is something the owner created. I was also looking at the truck in the photo from 2011 and wondering, and I don't know fiberglass construction at all, could I take something, join pieces and then fiberglass over the entire thing giving it the look of molded fiberglass?
I once got one of those fiberglass kits to do a bathtub repair and it was a disaster but I know some people are really, really good working with it.
I went through all the sold archives at fiberglass rv 4 sale and googled but found nothing even close. I have no idea where else one would look.

All the corners were continuously moulded around them. The nose cone is a separate piece too.
It almost looks like that fifth wheel someone posted a while back about, one where thy had to use a special flat bed deck on the truck to pull.

In the mid-70s I was stationed at Elmendorf AFB and that was the time the pipeline jobs were booming and they were bringing trailers at that time to resell. It was a good business since housing there was expensive if it could be found. One of my friend's father's was going to start buying used trailers and bringing them up for resale. One could have made a fortune and they were not particular about what kinds of units.
If from a manufacturer, wouldn't it be Canadian for sure? Prototype?

I will say to you Jim concerning the unique rv as Dr. Spock would have stated, "Fascinating Captain..."

Dr. vs Mr. Spock
I think you mean Mr. Spock.
Dr. Spock (left) wrote child raising books.
Mr. Spock (right) was an officer on the Enterprise.

Yer SO right...thanks for the correction. I believe it was actually "Dr. McCoy" that was the Enterprise doctor.

YAY!!!
I finally found the thread about this trailer. Perseverance pays off.
It is a Transcontinental Coach moulded fibreglass fifth wheel. Here is the previous discussion. There certainly does not appear to be many in existence. Strange to find one in Sitka, which is on Baranof Island, in Alaska.
