Well! I had the AWESOME opportunity to see this NEST in person today!!
Robert,, thank-you for a very pleasurable visit and the guided tour was fab!
The Nest is really a stunning,,,dare I say,,, masterpiece!!?
The photos although great don't do the Nest justice. So spacious inside, so modern
looking and feeling,, and the exterior,, from a car guy stand point is just plain SEXY!this ain't no rehashed boler!
Robert is proud as a new papa and I'm sure he would be happy to show it to anyone here who asks.
I took a couple pics that I will post when I get them downloaded.

This has taken on a life of it's own. Would it be possible for the mods to split most of the potty discussion to another thread?

I like it too, Norm. Yes it is very nice, clean, aerodynamic, etc, but it would be much harder to design and attach additional storage boxes, like you have done, so they do not detract from the good looks of the rest. The Scamp allows for hiding stuff underneath.

This is in no way a criticism of Nest, just an observation.

In my opinion one of the reasons these FGs are so popular is they are COOL, and one of the best ways to make them UN-COOL is to hang storage
boxes, bikes and whatever else on them,,, this isn't to say that I may do just that in the future.

I too prefer the look of integrated exterior storage, over front or rear mount boxes. Like the Bigfoot, and now Nest do. It would be good if they were a big larger, without being to overbearing looking, but have no idea what that limit would be.

But like Norm and others, I really do like the clean smooth look of the undercarriage.

My five under trailer storage units are invisible to any one looking at the trailer.

The rear bumper box is visible but at least it's white as are the two fence posts. Certainly if their were integrated outside storage I would buy it. I suggested it to Scamp but.....

Similarly I don't like items on the roof, like maxi vent covers or roof top air conditioners actually even the very visible awnings sometimes look outsized compared to the trailer.

I also agree with the clean look being more attractive.

My Scamp used to have an awning, but the second owner lost it to wind and did not replace it. I do not miss it a bit (yet). It looks better without it and less drag. The AC on top could also go, but we may use it some day. It is a difficult trade-off between the best looks and the best usability. And price matters, too. We used to have an unofficial "motivational" poster in our engineering lab that said:

"GOOD, FAST, CHEAP - take any two."

Something like it also applies here. I hope the well established manufacturers are as aware of the newcomers to this market as the newcomers are aware of the existing offerings. Let me just say that I see some great ideas floating around and some are being realized.

It's May so I went to the Nest web site and downloaded the brochure and read an article in the Bend, OR newspaper. The article mentioned the price as $35,000.

High end price for a high end trailer which we will all drool over but not many have the budget for unfortunately.

I remember several years ago, when folks were gagging at the prices of an Escape. Fast forward several years and you can't get an Escape this YEAR. They're already building out in 2016. I hope Robert and Nest has as much success.
