New 1981 Scamp 13' Owner

Greetings ya'll. Well... I signed up on the site about 3 weeks ago thinking I was going to have to put out an "Egg Wanted" plea. Living outside of Houston, I was well prepared to have to travel some distance to get one as the 13' eggs are extremely rare down here. To make a long story short, it was quite a Texas fairy tale as we found one on Craigslist about 5 hours from here in North Texas. Made the trip last Saturday and now it is in dry dock undergoing renovations. Phase 1 is to get it sanitized and usable for the fall which may have finally arrived. Our TV is a 2008 Scion XB which my wife has called "the toaster" since the day I brought it home, so now we have "an egg and toast(er)". We have given ourselves a month to get it together and ready to go. I have learned alot about the little eggs in a relatively short time here on the site. Hope I can contribute as much as I have learned. Will post pics as soon as available.

Al, Congrats!

Actually Texas can surprise you. I know the saying is, Everything is bigger in Texas! But our little eggs actually are pretty affluent in your fine state. As you will find out in your travels. Promise, you and your wife will start seeing them more and more, it's like owning one actually opens a new visual realm. LOL......

Hope you guys enjoy it! Please post pictures! We can never see too many eggs.
