I'd originally planned on doing some welcome modifications to my hard-sided pop-up to increase storage. I was also going to do the refitting of my little bike hauler into a baby toy-hauler (haul bikes then convert into a camping trailer). It IS fiberglass after all!

But my wife and I picked up a couple of new eggs instead so we have two new campers:

Rachael and Kathryn (these are shots from December):

methinks you might need a little more space - those little eggs will be growing pretty quickly! They are adorable!

So, yeah... my summer was spent turning a living room into a bedroom instead of working on trailers...

Hopefully NEXT summer I'll have more time to breath and get some work done on trailers...

The new campers showed up July 8th - I'm just now getting to the point where I get to sleep through the night sometimes. (Maybe half the time now actually... feels pretty good compared to before) Babies are a whole heck of a lot easier when you outnumber them...

Haven't quite decided how the new arrivals are going to figure into camping and possible trailer changes. I don't think it's worth trying to make the Esterel (or a possible future 16' egg) sleep 6 - but I -REALLY- don't want to get a tent trailer. If the set-up on the Esterel gets old, a tent trailer will drive me nuts. Likely won't matter for another couple of years since the girls will likely stay home while I just take the bigger kids out - and by the time the little ones are ready - the big ones might not want to come. They'll at LEAST be at the point where they'd likely prefer being out in a tent with some nice cots and an extension cord to run the video games off of.

DOES kinda mess with what had been my plans to pick up and refit a 16-footer though. I was originally only planning on a few more years of 'family' camping... not now.

Mike
