Welcome Heath, In my opinion you won't be sorry for getting into fiberglass. Though I love the retro aspect of you Scotty I think you and your wife will find glass a fun trailer to travel in. Good Luck in your search! Robin

to FiberglassRV Heath (and family), we're glad you found us.!

Good luck in your search for a perfect molded lightweight fiberglass towable. You'll find lots of helpful people here when you have problems or are looking to modify the trailer for your needs.

thanks everyone!
it took a good while for me to convince my wife to sell the Scotty, but once i put the "no wood to rot" into perspective, it made sense to her.

A small correction -- less wood to rot.

There are lots of posts here about people replacing the wood floors. I haven't had to do that yet, but I have had to replace all of the wood in the kitchen area and much of the wood support under the dinette seats -- all due to rot. Uncontained water is a killer even in a fiberglass trailer, so make sure there are no leaks!

right. i assumed they had wood floors. she won't be doing any of that sort of work, so i didn't mention they had wood floors.... ha!
