Scroll down to the very bottom of the page.
Look in the lower left corner, below the "Posting Rules" access button.
There is a white menu access that now reads: --FGRV 2.0
Click the button to drop down the menu:
  • Quick Style Chooser
  • --FGRV 2.0
  • --Default Style

You can change the FGRV 2.0 to Default Style and your appearance will revert back to the familiar look.

Maybe a very light gray instead of the bright white background would be a little easier on the eyes, though.
Yes, a somewhat less BRIGHT background would be welcome. It's really bright.

I did that and am using it now. The reading column is very narrow, but at least I can stay on the forums for a while. After about 10 minutes, all that white literally made my eyes feel like they were going to start bleeding.... old eyes you know

Thanks for posting the click on default (I never would have found that myself), I was finding the new look a bit too harsh on my eyes, but I do like the new look.

Warning - If you go to the bottom of the page there are all sorts of interesting "forums" that you can join and spend time on. Be careful.

Thanks Frederick! I'm starting to get cataracts (a bit early, genetics) and the extra brightness was a bit too much glare. Your tip was very timely!

Or I could have just turned down the brightness on the screen...

I'm not a huge fan, but I'll get used to it. I dislike the yellow divider bars (a lot), and the narrow left side to page through.

And, we're still looking at the same old photo on the homepage when we log in... Is there really no way to change it? It must be at least a year old, and we have so many wonderful photos submitted to the forum.

I agree but will most likely not get use to it.
