New Members saying HI!

:wave Hi all

We just purchased our First TT 2 weeks ago. We did a lot of web-searching,
including this site and Bolerama, and decided we had enough info to go shopping.

So here's what we found: 72' Boler 13ft
looks like a mini-Airstream :)

<img src=http://members.shaw.ca/ecojeeper5/05s.jpg/>

<img src=http://members.shaw.ca/ecojeeper5/04s.jpg/>

more pic's including interior shots Here:

It's in excellent condition, new,tires,wheels,bearings...and the frame and axle look like new as does the paint. The interior was extremely clean so we knew the second owner took great care of it for the 3 years he had it, as well as the original owner before him. BUT...We have big plans for this little gem...

Karen was the one who thought it would be a great idea to update a little Boler trailer about 2 years ago, and I though painting it to match the tow vehicle would be really cool. We soon found out this was not such a new novel idea, but it only fueled our enthusiasm with every Boler we saw. Karen is an excellent interior decorator and has some great ideas in the plans already. My Brother (an x-BodyMan) and I will be tinting the windows black and doing the matching Red and Black exterior paint to match the Jeep...but probably not til next winter/spring.

Until then I made a PhotoShop version of the end product...

I have a Digi camera and will take lots of pic's of little Joey Tomato's transformation,
and will eventually build-up his own website similar to the ones I did when I built up my Jeeps:

BlackJeepOfTheFamily

We are heavily involved with the Jeep Jamboree program as TrailGuides, and often camp in the Eastern Rocky Mountain foothills. We needed something easy to pull with a little more storage space for all our gear. The area gets a LOT of precipitation so I'm sure we wont miss our old soggy tent :)

Anyway, I'm running on, so once again, looking forward to e-meeting you all and will likely have lots of questions during our little -=Joey Tomato=- project.

Welcome Mike and Karen:wave
Its good to see others who like the off roading activities. My compact II history shows my rig which is red now and am planning to match my Early Bronco paint this fall. Again Welcome and good luck on your Boler "Joey Tomato"

Thank you all for the warm rececption :jump-r

Darrel, We have been following your story.
The Bronco/Compact II will make a great team.
We are eggsited to get our's painted to match too.
Maybe we should just trade? Red for Blue :colors

Our's wont look much like a Joey Tomato for a while yet
Maybe we should just name him Bender for now.
<img src=http://members.shaw.ca/ecojeeper5/bender2.jpg/>
Note the un~cany resemblance?

It's not eggzactly in-keeping with the egg theme,
but a trailer so adorable has to have a name ,right? :yep

We recently discovered the original color of our Boler
actually was Red and White after pulling back part of the door seal.

Eric, isn't Sharp looking Egg an oxymoron? :conf

Chester, We have enjoyed following your major renovation
Wow! that's some serious restoration.:thumb

Rick, I'm in Edmonton, Karen's in Calgary.
We hope to rectify that real soon though :chin

Steven, We plan on spending a LOT of time on this great site!

Craig, did you notice my call sign on my license plate,
or did you see a picture of my Ham Radio on my Website?

..and Hi to Johnny too, yes VE6FLX is my call.
We use Hams a lot out in the wilderness because
cell phones and CB's are almost always out of range.

Has anyone heard from Hans de B. Lately?
He's a member here, from Maple Ridge B.C.
and pulls a Boler with a Jeep too.
I was wondering if he may know some Jeep friends
who live there too, Ann and Pete Jackson (VE7AWJ and VE7PWJ).

I've been utilizing the search function and found quite
a few fellow Jeep/Boler owners.
:banana I may need some advice on raising the Boler a little
because my Jeep sits about a foot taller than a stock TJ :o

Yes Mike, I noticed the 2m rig on your web site! I used to be very active on HF (used to have a nice TH3mkIII @ 50'), but the new neighborhood had antenna restrictions, so just VHF for me right now. Oh how I miss 10m during a nice sunspot cycle!:wave

Hi,
New members, Martin and Joanne in BC here.

Just picked up a very rough Scamp 13' with no floor. Needs a ton of work: A winter or two at least.

Welcome to FGRV Martin. You should start a new thread for your rebuild. With a lot of before, during and after pics. You've definitely got a project a head of you . I'm sure you will inspire a few folks who may be a little hesitant of minor mods.

Just wanted to say hello, we are the happy owners of a Casita SD. We have been living full time in our Casita for 11 months. I am hoping for some ideas on making our space more livable.

Glen and I have just purchased a 17' Casita and will be taking our first (almost) cross-country road trip in September. We are looking forward to what undoubtedly will be an adventure!
