Yes, we are Pat, maybe more than you would think! Still about 8" of snow on top of the CalMark cover. Won't be long now, as it seems spring is around the corner.

Actually Darral, as long time tent campers, we do not have a problem with lines. Also, we're not much for alcohol...

Last July 4th weekend in the Adirondacks we never lost our canopy in a major overnight windstorm. Many others with regular canopies experienced damage, and lot of tents were blown over. I like my canopy!

One of each..and like'm both for different reasons.
FIAMA for its quicker deployment/retraction.
Gander MT for its ability to stand up in a wider range of wind/weather (YMMV).

PS... We do stake our van's FIAMA down BUT we utilize stakes that allow each leg to rise and fall as needed to bleed off a given wind gust.

What a great set-up Thom! You have done a great job on that Van!
BTw…I went to your site and read everything there. We are looking at the NV3500 for our tow vehicle. We have a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and a 2014 Nissan Quest, but yours is a better fit for towing and camping. Kinda the best of both worlds!

Nice setup. Good choice in vehicle. I just put my hitch on my 4X4 S-10. See how it pulls tomorrow. Still need to get a brake controller, lights wiring and tranny cooler.
