I'm new to this forum and wanted to officially introduce myself. Greg and I look forward to future conversations on this forum. We just got our new used Scamp 13ft. delivered on Sunday morning about 1am. I spent all day Sunday playing in my new toy and am so excited to be using it as soon as possible, even if I have to camp in my own driveway! My daughter comments about how small the camper is but is amazed by how big it is when you go in. I couldn't agree more. We'll see how "big" it is when she sleeps in the bunk bed.

I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I need to clean her up a bit.

We plan on a big weeklong trip in the Mesa Verde area and wonder if there are any great campgrounds you could recommend.

Candi

Hi and Welcome!

You will enjoy your Scamp. And yes, all us 13 footers get the "Gee, it's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside!" comments all the time.

Welcome to another Midwesterner! Be sure to add your name to the FGRV map (links to the left) as we are under-represented here!

I have an artist pal near Lincoln, and attend the art camp at Halsey, your one and only National Forest! We also attend the wonderful Cornhusker games in Lincoln, what a great tradition you have there!

Be sure to post pics of your new old Scamp and any good campgrounds you find!

Welcome, you'll love it around here!

Gigi, thanks for the big midwesterner welcome. I'll certainly add our location to the map. We live less than an hour's drive from Lincoln and I play every year in the Cornhusker State Games. If you like ping pong you should come down to the Ag hall on July 15, 16 and play with us. I'm considering camping at the fairgrounds even though as a sport director I have my hotel room paid for.

Thanks for your welcome as well, Gina. I didn't mean to overlook your post. Yes, that's the exact response I had when I got to peek in the first one I ever saw. It made a definite impression on me even though we had a nice camper at the time. Most people size up over the years. Instead, we are choosing to size down despite the two kids we have. In a few years they'll want their own tent anyways. We'll be looking into a screen room for our awning by then.

Welcome Candi We're glad you're here

Sounds like you've already figured out the wonders of small molded FiberglassRVs

I'm patiently waiting for pics

Welcome to the group Candy. I know Lanesboro, Minnesota might be a ways for you to travel, but in September a bunch of us midwesterners will be meeting there for a fiberglass weekend. Come join us if you can.

Congrats on the Scamp. We've had ours for about 6 months now and enjoying it a lot.
This group is the best. I've learned a lot from reading posts to this board, and asking questions.

Wow! You guys make us feel so welcome. Karalyn, we'll seriously be considering your offer. We know a few scamp owners in our area and will try and get them to come along as well. September's a great time of year as it's beginning to cool off but it's not yet cold.

I plan on posting some pictures but I still need to figure out this new digital camera we got. Really bad when the camera's smarter than the photographer .

Thanks for all of your warm welcomes. We definitely look forward to getting to know you all.
