As you can see the new more secure software has been installed.

We will be working on getting back our old “Look & Feel”.

This is a nice new look.

Happened while I was looking at the forum. Nice surprise.

Ooh. Lo-Fi version for while I'm camping and want to check in without the overhead of the graphics. Cool!

I am a gonna do a blackberry test right now!

Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

Can you hear me now?

Well, it sort of worked LOL!

"Can you hear me now" was a post, but it stuck it at the end of my last one!!! It's a start!

and so was the line above it..

HAH! HA! Little tweaks, but it loks great!

It seems that this is a characteristic of the forum in its current configuration under the new software, rather than a problem specific to the user, since I saw the same effect. In a thread where I had responded to one post, I tried a separate response to a different post: my second response was appended to my first one. I believe that I saw the same effect in the other IPB forum in which I have particpated, so it is probably standard for recent versions of the software.

I find it a little disconcerting, but once it is expected it should be fine. I hope that if someone else responds between two of my responses, my posts will still be separated to maintain the order of the thread.

Lots of tweaking left to do. We had planned on refining it and working through the glitches before merging with the new system, but it didn't quite work the way we had planned. When we went from the original forum to the last one in 2003, it was almost flawless. The only reason anyone knew that we changed was the look.

This time is going to be different; I'm really sorry, but we'll have to work on it out here in the open. Thanks for your patience.

Team,
Yeeee Haaaw, progress---we love it! Its appropriate for Thanksgiving!

With this reply, I'd add a different smilie, but there are only these 3 showing . all the others have been replaced with smilie smilie smilie, etc. When clicking on Show All some show the picture, and others show the description of that smilie. Something to add to the list, but basically we're just glad the site is back.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!

I have two posts in the same thread (e.g. Fixing my bolers leaking windows..., and now this one), and they are indeed kept separate and in order, so it looks like that part works fine.
