High Kurt and welcome to the site! I think I may have seen your Boler somewhere near here but ot sure. Just to let ya know that on the May long weekend there is a gathering of Eggs at The Fort campground in Ft. Langley. Its not too far so, why not come on down (even just for an afternoon) and visit? Look for the car posted in my avitar, it will be close to the main section we have set aside for ourselves....Fun Family Weekend and The Fort now has its own on site "family eatery" GREAT FOOD too!!!

Awesome project Kurt, thanks for putting up thorough photos.
That Boler looks pretty good in black, but I bet it'd get pretty hot in there.
Good Luck!

thanks everyone. Unfortunately I will be in Kelowna on May Long Weekend for my other 70's obsession...first generation Honda Civics ( www.roadsailing.com ) A friend of mine is going down from Hope with his newly acquired 17' Boler. He has already registered too.

Hannah, the happy baby is 8 months and the reason I need the couch instead of the counter space!

The black is horrible. Like an oven in the afternoon. Keeping it clean.....well thats another story. You may have seen the Boler, not too many black ones around. I have been to 100 Mile House, Trail (Champion Lakes) and Manning Park with it.

Hello, Kirt!
I was through your lovely town about 5 years ago. There was some fantastic woodcarving all around town. Is it still there? Mabee a few pictures with your trailer? Wasn't that the town hall from Rambo?

OH my gosh- that former owner had NO practical knowledge, did he? BLACK!!!!

Although, I have thought of silver............ wonder how silver would be? Silver would go along with the SpacePod theme....

The previous owner was definately going for the "look" of a matched set, not really considering actually using the trailer in areas of ANY heat! Sites at this years Glass Egg meet have all been spoken for, too bad you can't make it. Remember though we are having a fall meet at the same site

Yes Hope is the Rambo town (town won't let it die) and the chain saw carvings are still here.

The black even had a subtle blue pearl in it. Not anymore though.....I sanded the entire thing today. Took about 5-6 hours. A few more things to do including removing the side windows and it should be ready for paint.

It appears the original colour was all an off white originally.

I have a large paint chip book at home and my wife and I are arguing over the bottom colour. I suggested green like my honda (see pic) but she wants a more bland colur like gun metal grey...decisions, decisions...

Welcome!

We're quite close by in South Surrey, and own a '78 Boler 17 footer.

Incidentally, i have owned two first gen Civics, one a '76 and the second a not-sure-of the year red CVCC which i should have kept as it was rust-free with the checker stripe seats etc . . . oh regrets!

Cheers,
Mark
