My wife and I settled on a 17 ft. Casita, also. We looked at a lot of trailers and almost went with a Scamp 5th wheel. Depending on your main type of outing, you can't go wrong with any of the great fiberglass trailers that are out there.

Good luck!

Welcome to FiberglassRV.com! You'll soon find out what the rest of us here know... that fiberglass RVs, while a little smaller perhaps than the big stickies, represent a much better value for the dollar, and pack a lot of amenities into a reasonable sized RV. They're easier to lug around, setup, and use than the big ones. You have to do all of the same tasks, they just don't seem to be as oppressive for some reason with a fiberglass trailer!

Good luck in your hunt. Everyone uses their trailer a little differently, so read everything you can about how everyone else uses theirs. You'll pick up some really neat ideas.

Roger

One of the many, many great things about fiberglass RVs is that my wife and I generally have our Casita completely set up within minutes of arriving at our campsite. Setup is so amazingly simple. We had been accustomed to tent camping and the transition to setting up our Casita has been nothing short of amazing for us.
