My son sent me the following story about someone getting stuck on the road to Burgeo. This is one of Newfoundland's newer roads to an outpost town, about 100 miles long with a few summer trailers and houses, really no people at this time of the year.

We have driven this road but in better weather.

Maritimes

MY wife & I are planning a road tip from our home in the Canadian Prairies to the Maritimes in the end of May through the first half of June. We have a 2014 Scamp 16 ft . We've never been past Montreal. We won't have time to do Newfoundland, but we will try to do PEI, NS & NB justice and hook through Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont on the way back.
Hopefully the Atlantic winter will break way for spring by then. We are enjoying an unusually early Spring here in Manitoba after 2013-14 being our coldest, longest winter in 130 yrs.
Egg RV ing & loving it!

Bless you Jim. That's a lot of territory to cover in what sounds like 3 weeks. I would guess about 6,000 miles in total.

We're headed to Newfoundland, at least we are planning to head there. The weather in the east in terms of snow accumulation at least is still bad, check out Springtime in NB under General Chat.

Safe travels

It certainly could change our plans though winter snow can melt rapidly. Here's hoping.

I've been keeping my eye on the road cameras in Newfoundland.

Looking Fiberglass unfriendly.
