I ran across this link on a yahoo group devoted to folks to van dwell. This is the web journal of a complete van makeover (cool ideas and great pics) and a around the US travel log. What great camping ideas. Thought I'd share.

A must read is "Blue Highways" by William Least-Heat Moon

Wow, Bonnie, what a site; thanks for the reference, I spent quite a bit of time browsing about. I would like to document future trips, and I have never seen it done so comprehensively. So, how to do it and where to get started; can anyone point me in the general direction? For example, the maps, routes, and links pages, like this one: http://www.mybigadventure.com/index.php?ac...e=OR&back=1 I guess this ties in with the camping software thread...

(You're right, Pete, Blue Highway was a great read).

It appears that software is a web creation by Jeff Drilling, the web site owner. According to the information in the Mission section Jeff is software contractor and web site is written in php.

I looked at some source forge for open source software written for RVers. I haven't turned up anything yet. I just may have to try to write something.
