Nostalgia – Going back in time.

Well here we were a few years ago. OK how many of you remember doing this??? I also remember before this when we just used to use our tents. Man that used to be rough setting up and taking down in the rain. Boy have we all come a long way!

I will have to say I wish Casita could come up with a solution for a good screen room. I mean really if this old Coleman Pop-Up could have a nice functional screen room then by all means Casita should be able to also. Hell I know I would pay the extra for it too… wouldn’t you!!!

So come on the rest of you lets see how you use to go camping... back in the day!

Hi Steven
So why couldn't you put a the Coleman style awning and screen room on a Casita. We kept the one from our Starcraft tent-trailer and use on our Trillium. It works fine and the new ones are even better designed.

Casita Screen Room

Steven..did you see the post from Dave Deatherage
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/read.php...?TID=1733#20830

it shows a 17 foot Casita Spirit Deluxe with a screened room. Is this what you had in mind?? hummm, maybe Dave could let us know if this is an add-on, or something from Casita? :conf

Casita Screened Room

I believe the one displayed in that link is an add on. I don't believe that Casita recommends using one with the awning that comes installed from the factory. Something about structural support. I could be wrong, though. It looks to me as though they may be using some kind of support on the side. Not sure...

Steven, it appears that you have four legs holding up the awning/sreened room on your pop-up. Are there two in the back also? If so, this application might work if one was to use a pop-up type awning. I am only guessing, but it might remove the structural strain caused by the added weight of the screened room.

Hummm....something to consider.

Actually the screen room in the pop up only had the 2 pole. The screen near the pop up just attached I believe by velcro.
