Not Canada

Not Canada but this is the creek in my front yard at the moment and the gnarly chicken hut my husband built for me. The river across the road just came out of it's banks.

Just doesn't seem fair what Mother Nature is doing. Some folks have waaaay to much water and other parts of our world are burning up...

Be safe!

Donna:

Sometimes it doesn't even have to rain here for the creek to come up. It just has to rain somewhere in Minnesota. It is pretty awesome to see it coming out from under the bluff up in the park when this is happening. The river and the creek don't stay up long due to no dams anymore. The way it looks we might be back to the knee high by the 4th of July rule on the corn crop around here. Too cold and wet.

Hi Cyndi

Not just somewhere in MN, certainly not the northwest. We are moving to Emerson MB right on the border of MN/ND where the Red River flows north and so we get all the winter melt from those states trying to overcome our town dikes.

Speaking of flooding my brother-in-law went back to his home in Calgary today, only a block from the river to find no water in the basement nor garage, but so many there are going to be very wet for some time to come.

As Roy says you have luscious greens, even your chickens are "in the green"! Very nice looking hut.

Adrian

Won't have to water the yard this year. This was this morning and more rain on the way.

Hi Cyndi! Same thing over here in eastern Nebraska. We put the new "not molded fg" camper on a seasonal site this year---and because it is not yet completed (because of rain) it has standing water in many of the sites. Ours is not bad , but sure takes the fun out of camping! 2 inches last night and more storms forecast. Arggg
On a happy note--just got back from a weeks vacation in the Black Hills---beautiful, cool, low humidity weather!!!!!!

Vicki:

I think my seasonal site is my driveway until my husband takes me back with him to Montana. He is anxious to get me out there so we can enjoy the summer. Back Hills. Just as good as Yellowstone with much less screaming overlooks. When we lived in N. Dakota last year we would go down on weekend trips to get out of our 23 ft. abode. Motel room showers never felt so good. Then when we brought the Scamp out it was weekends in Teddy Roosevelt NP. Such beauty.
