Not sure what to make of this

So sometimes it feels like I'm caught in a bad reality show on the nature channel but every day I find myself scouring the interwebs looking for Bigfeet and I ran across this. Too far from home for me but I found it interesting so I'm passing it along.

2006 Bigfoot 17 5 Goucho | 2006 Bigfoot Motorhome in Stockton CA | 3668850824 | Used Motorhomes & RVs on Oodle Marketplace

Maybe it's a scam? (same ad listed 4 weeks ago in Modesto but that's not that far from Stockton)

Maybe the seller just does not know what the real value it?

Maybe it's a typo?

Maybe someone on this site in CA should check it out?

Wow. No doubt if that BF is everything it appears to be it is way under valued.

Like you suggested could be a scam or the owner is just not clued in to what it is really worth. If ad is legit it should have been sold a long time ago and someone will have a huge smile on their face, (the buyer for sure).

Ok, so after thinking about this overnight I remembered that when my Dad passed we ended up selling his 40' class A for WAY under value just because it was on the other side of the country and no one in the family wanted to deal with it. So maybe????.........just maybe this might be legit.

If so I could fly to CA tomorrow, pay someone to tow it to a storage facility and pick it up when I could. At any rate what do I have to lose?

So I sent an e-mail and called the number listed in the ad. The phone went to "The Verizon customer you have reached is not available" with no option for a message. If I do get any response to the e-mail I half expect him to ask to me transfer the funds into the account of his brother the Nigerian prince. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Or perhaps I just really need to step away from the computer and stop looking for these elusive Bigfeet? I think I might be seeing shimmering mirages in the California desert.

Great deals are out there. It's why I have six Trilliums.

There are perhaps 100's of 17' BigFoot seekers within 250 miles of that trailer (including moi) If the ad was real they would have listed and sold it locally the first day at that price. There is even a BigFoot dealer within 75 miles of Stockton that would have grabbed it and resold it in a NY minute.

Don't waste your time chasing the obvious. If it was real it's long gone, but I would rate it, unlike the soap that floats, as 99 & 44/100% pure scam..

DON'T SEND MONEY! Scams happen every second of every 24 hour day. But yeah, those elusive-really-cheap-under-priced listings DO happen. Got to be right there and have someone close to check it out before you turn lose of one nickle.

Have no fear, there was NO chance that I was sending any money.

But I'm still stumped as to what the point of posting it was. I did a google image search of the picture in the ad and it came back to an ad for that same Bigfoot dealer that Bob mentioned that I know has been sold for months. Not sure why someone would bother to post a fake ad and then not follow up or list a good phone #. In my e-mail I even tried to sound eager and kind of dumb. (Wasn't that much of a stretch for me. )

Who knows, they did get my junk e-mail address, maybe my spam filter will pick up some extra viagra ads. Strange.

Sounds like they already hit paydirt and moved on.

Their email address would have been dumped
The phone number was, no doubt, a throw-away cell phone from 7-11 that was also tossed into a landfill.

They seldom leave any tracks.
