Ohio Tollroad

We just came back from NY to Chicago area, and were impressed by the Ohio Tollroad. There are a number of service areas that not only allow overnight, but for $20 you can hook up for 24hrs. Inside are many different food options in a food court, and Starbucks if you really need a fix. Nice, clean, and about every 40-50 miles!

Yes, but you forgot the best part. Towing a 13' Scamp with a car makes it a 3-axle setup and then the tolls double. You pay the same toll as for a 12-ton, three-axle tandem truck, and they are not cheap. Ask me how I know. They make the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Indiana, and Illinois tolls look reasonable.

I have an I-Pass so went through the electronic lanes, so don't really know what I paid. Guess I will be surprised when I look at my account balance!

Just check my acct -- almost $50 in tolls to NY and back -- well, the road was nice except from Ohio line to mid Indiana.
